«Duplex» is an unexpected solution to the impossible love story, sang by Juliette Gréco in 1966 : an aquarium above a cage.
The base of the aquarium is a diving bell allowing the bird to fly into an air bubble in which it can move at the same level as the fish.
This poetic and surprising object places these inhabitants of air and water into an exclusive situation of mutual exploration.
In 2009, the prototype of Duplex was purchased by the permanent collection of the National Found of Contemporary Art (France).
